About

Wall Street meets Ayala Avenue, every morning.

Bull & Carabao is a free daily digest that reads the US and Philippine markets together, in plain English and Taglish. It is published independently by its founders, Louis Cada and Ralph Constantino, in the Philippines.

Our story

It started with a simple frustration: waking up to Wall Street news that never explained what it meant back home, and PSEi updates that never mentioned why the Fed had just moved. Markets in Manila move on what happens in New York the night before, and remittances from the US shape everything from the peso’s value to household spending, but nobody was connecting the two, in a language that actually felt like home.

So we built Bull & Carabao: one daily brief that reads both markets together, with the cross-tied US-PH stories explained in English and Taglish, for anyone trying to make sense of their money across both sides of the Pacific.

Meet the founders

How each issue is made

  1. 01

    Real data and sources

We pull real market data from live financial data providers and verified news sources, then link back to the original article for every headline. Nothing is estimated or invented.

  2. 02

Written with AI, checked by us

Each issue is compiled from that data and news, then written using AI. We spot-check content regularly for accuracy, though individual issues are sent automatically each morning.

  3. 03

    The same ground every day

The day’s story in two lines, the US and PH market closes, the biggest winners and losers and why they moved, how US news affects the Philippines (in English and Taglish), the USD/PHP rate, what to watch next, and the sources we used.
